Lake Constance Challenge by Karlsruher Lemminge
The triathlon club Karlsruher Lemminge e.V. was able to organize an interactive, virtual cycling tour in the middle of the COVID era with the help of Klubraum, connecting the entire club online. Klubraum creates digital club spirit and makes organizing virtual events incredibly easy.
The Challenge
During the COVID crisis, many club activities came to a standstill. Joint training sessions had to be canceled or severely restricted.
The Solution
Klubraum enabled the maintenance of club life through the app. Training sessions in pairs were planned and documented. The spontaneous Lake Constance Challenge connected all members digitally.
The Results

How the Karlsruher Lemminge stayed digitally connected during COVID with Klubraum
During the COVID crisis, many club activities came to a standstill. The triathlon club Karlsruher Lemminge e.V. also had to cancel or restrict their meetings and joint training sessions for a long time according to regulations.
However, by using Klubraum, the Lemminge didn’t have to completely give up club life. Instead, they were able to continue maintaining and organizing it through the club app.
The running and cycling training sessions conducted in pairs were planned and documented via Klubraum – this helped find training partners and kept everyone informed about others’ training progress, thereby motivating each other.
The Lake Constance Challenge: Two on the road - connected with everyone
A special highlight was the spontaneously initiated “Lake Constance Challenge,” where some Lemminge covered the almost 300 km from Karlsruhe to Lake Constance by bicycle in pairs.
The photos taken along the way were shared via Klubraum, as well as the live location of the teams, so all club members could follow where the teams were currently located on their timeline. This allowed members who didn’t participate in the challenge to digitally experience others’ achievements and motivate them with likes and comments.
The challenge promoted not only the athletic component but also cohesion and social interaction within the club, all completely digital through our club app.
