Synchronization

Here we explain how you can synchronize your Klubraum calendar with your device calendar or another program or online calendar.

Device Calendar

With synchronization to the device calendar, Klubraum events from your personal calendar are synchronized to your local device calendar on your smartphone. A reverse synchronization (from device calendar to Klubraum calendar) is currently not possible.

Advantages

  • Centralized management: All appointments are accessible in one place, improving the overview of your entire calendar.
  • Automatic updates: Changes made in Klubraum are reflected directly in the device calendar.

Disadvantages

  • No external calendar: on Android devices, no external calendar can be selected.
  • No background synchronization: on iOS devices, synchronization only occurs when starting the app or when changes are made within the app, but not when the app is in the background or closed.

Using a so-called iCal link, you can integrate the Klubraum calendar into other applications such as Outlook or online calendars such as Google Calendar.

Here you create a link for your personal calendar in Klubraum, which you can then import into the application of your choice.

Advantages

  • Centralized management: All appointments are accessible in one place, improving the overview of your entire calendar.
  • Import into external calendars: Integration into external calendar systems such as Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 is easily possible.
  • Automatic updates: Changes made in Klubraum are reflected directly in the iCal feed. The more frequently the external calendar calls the Klubraum iCal link, the faster updates in the Klubraum calendar are displayed in the external calendar.

Disadvantages

  • Know-how required: the place where the integration of the iCal link into the external calendar can be configured is sometimes hidden deeper in the settings in some calendars.
  • Delayed update: The synchronization from the Klubraum calendar to the external calendar is done by the external calendar. How often this happens is not configurable in every calendar. For example, you cannot set a retrieval interval in Google Calendar. This means that new or updated appointments may take a delay of several minutes to hours until they appear correctly in the external calendar.
